J. Patrick McNamara has acted in major roles in dozens of motion pictures and TV shows including co-starring twice for Steven Spielberg in “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and “1941” and he played Bill’s dad in ”Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure”.He has shared scenes with more than a dozen Academy Award nominated actors including Henry Fonda, Kirk Douglas, Richard Dreyfus and Taraji Henson.

With an MFA from the American Film Institute he has also taught acting at several universities in the U.S. and abroad.

He has acted on stage in New York and Los Angeles and at regional theaters from Oregon to Maine.
