Prof. Dr. Osman Yılmaz was born in Kırşehir, Türkiye, in 1967. He graduated from Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine in 1991. Between 1993 and 1998, he completed his residency in Pediatrics at the same university and became a board-certified Pediatrician. Between 2007 and 2011, he completed his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at the Ministry of Health Dr. Sami Ulus Children's Diseases Hospital.

From 2011 to 2013, he worked at Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital. Between 2013 and 2024, he served at SBU Etlik Zübeyde Hanım Women's Health Training and Research Hospital, where he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2017 and Professor in 2021. From 2024 to 2026, he worked at Sivas Medicana Hospital. He currently serves as Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at Ankara VM Medical Park Keçiören Hospital.

His clinical and academic interests include fetal echocardiography, congenital heart diseases, pediatric cardiac arrhythmias, neonatal and pediatric echocardiography, and contemporary diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in pediatric cardiology.

Prof. Dr. Osman Yılmaz has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of congenital and acquired heart diseases in fetuses, newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Through his educational activities, he aims to share practical, evidence-based knowledge with pediatric cardiologists, obstetricians, perinatologists, radiologists, and healthcare professionals interested in fetal and pediatric cardiology.

He is married and the father of two children.
