About me
Growing up, I saw the women in my family—mothers, wives, aunts—pour their hearts into building homes and nurturing families, yet their work often went unnoticed and unappreciated. This left a deep impact on me and sparked a lifelong curiosity: Why is homemaking, the backbone of our lives, so undervalued?
As I progressed in my professional journey, I discovered striking similarities between running a successful organization and managing a home. This realization became the foundation of my work: bridging the gap between these two worlds to foster respect for homes and homemakers and create happier, more balanced lives.
I am a home science graduate with over 10 years of experience in the risk management field, and I started my journey of defining a home in 2015.
In my quest to define a home, I found that multiple dimensions work simultaneously—chores, parenting, couple relationships, and relationships with other family members. Within these dynamics, we develop essential skills that shape our future.
The first step in understanding a home is recognizing the differences and similarities between men and women. I poured my heart and mind into uncovering the reasons behind these differences, exploring thousands of research papers, books, and publications. Viewing these differences through the lens of nurturer and provider, I found insightful answers. These answers form the foundation of my course, "Understanding Couple Relationships Better."
This workshop was originally launched as "Santulan – Making Gender Differences Work" in 2018. Now, I am launching it as a recorded course.
My Mission
My mission is to empower individuals to create happier homes and families, leading to healthier, stress-free professional lives.
To honor the invisible yet invaluable work of homemakers, I founded the Familymaker Awards—honoring the work of homemakers. These are the first awards of their kind, celebrating both men and women who challenge stereotypes and redefine homemaking as a skilled, vital role.
The first Familymaker Awards took place on October 8, 2023, in Noida
The second edition was held on April 28, 2024, at the Gandhi Peace Foundation, Delhi, India
I believe that a strong home creates stronger individuals, families, and workplaces.
Let’s work together to create a world where balance is a strength, not a struggle—a world where every role is respected and appreciated, not just professional roles tied to income. A world where holistic living is embraced, integrating both unpaid and paid work in harmony, creating happier people and societies.
