Marcello Spagnolo (1986) is a jazz drummer originally from Rome, Italy.

He has played the drums since the age of twelve, exploring Rock music at first and then going towards more improvised genres of music like Jazz, Blues and Hip Hop.

He appeared playing at different music festivals like North Sea Jazz Festival, Warsaw Jazz Days, WOMEX World Music Festival to name a few.

He has graduated in Jazz Drums at the Royal Conservatoire of Music in The Hague, The Netherlands in 2014.

His collaborations include Vondelpark, wow, Joe Midnights space trio, Lorenzo BITW, Claudio Piselli, Christos Yerolatsitis, Xavi Castilllo and more.

Beside playing with different jazz and alternative music bands, Marcello has developed online teaching classes as a result of more than 10 years of teaching experience.

He is currently part of the 'School of Philosophy' founded by Atlanta drummer Deantoni Parks, exploring live sampling and drums.
