Luis Lacouture is a Strategic Marketing Leader with a consistent record of achievement and top performance in U.S. and International pharmaceutical markets. He is a catalyst for transformative change and providing successful change leadership. He has a strong record of developing and executing marketing strategy and delivering results through highly impactful advertising, promotion, consumer and health care professional education programs, and multi-channel integration. Mr. Lacouture is recognized for his ability to initiate and foster customer relationships, lead cross-functional teams, identify and develop talent, and establish strong collaborative relationships with global stakeholders. His expertise includes leading multiple complex projects, including product launches, and challenging the status quo to deliver business results.

Mr. Lacouture is currently the Regional Marketing Leader of New Products and Commercial Operations Leader for Launch Excellence at Merck & Co. in West Point, PA. His previous positions at Merck included Regional Diabetes Marketing Leader and Global Diabetes Senior Director of Marketing Communications, both for the Januvia/Janumet franchise; U.S. Hypertension Marketing Director, and U.S. Marketing Manager for Hypertension, Diabetes, and Respiratory. Mr. Lacouture started his career at Glaxo SmithKline’s Consumer Healthcare business in Pittsburgh where he held the positions of Brand Equity Manager and Associate Brand Manager/Analyst.

Mr. Lacouture is also an Adjunct Professor at Villanova University's Graduate School of Business (live classroom). He is consistently rated by students in a comprehensive student evaluation exercise (CATS) to be in top 25th percentile for both the quality of his course and instruction. Based on his student evaluation scores when compared with all other university professors, he rates above the vast majority of existing full time/tenured faculty at the Graduate Business School. Mr. Lacouture is also an Adjunct Professor at Post University where he teaches on-line courses.
