Louis Posthauer

Louis Posthauer has been deeply involved in various aspects of Christian ministry since 1979 when he turned his life over to Christ in a Jesus ’79 rally. Over the last 40+ years he has been actively involved in teaching and leading a broad range of ministries in the local church. These have included teaching ministries for youth, single adults, men’s ministry, home group leadership, marriage ministry, marriage counseling, divorce recovery ministry, outreach ministry, evangelism and seniors ministry. Teaching, leadership and boots-on-the-ground participation has been the hallmarks of Louis’ service to the church.

During a period of time when Louis was engaged in full time outreach ministry, the Lord revealed insights concerning disconnected, dropout believers who are no longer connected to a local church. From this arose a biblical strategy that resulted in an effective ministry of restoration of dropout believers to the local church. As a result, Louis introduced this strategy to many churches in the region. His book, Hunters of the Harvest: A Biblical Strategy for Restoring the Dropout Believer is a summary of this strategy.

Currently Louis is serving as a deacon and teacher at Calvary Community Church in Houston. Louis and his wife Dianna have six children and nine grandchildren.
