I’m the founder of Harley Therapy - the UK's renowned Psychotherapy and Counselling group - and for over twenty years I’ve made it my mission to help everyone get access to the knowledge and skills they need to improve their well-being.
I completed a Masters degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University and a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology at University College London before training as a psychotherapist. I studied for my advanced diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the world-famous Institute of Psychiatry and I got a PhD in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Regent’s College in London.
Having worked as a psychotherapist within charities and the NHS (The UK’s National Health Service) for seven years, I started the psychotherapy group Harley Therapy in London back in 2006. I soon realised there was a need to make counselling more accessible worldwide, so I co-created the therapy booking website "Harley Therapy Platform" to help everyone to find cost-effective counselling. Now, Harley Therapy connects thousands of people with life-changing therapy every year. I am so proud that Harley Therapy has won multiple awards, including “Best Health Care Website”.
I spend a lot of time delivering talks on wellbeing and de-stigmatising therapy on TV, radio and in the press. You can see some of my recent interviews here. I host the TherapyLab podcast, which you can find on Youtube and Apple podcasts.
Having had therapy myself, I know the power of therapeutic connection in transforming lives and the great benefit of personal exploration with a trained professional. This course is not a replacement for therapy, but it’s my sincere hope that what you learn will help you to find greater understanding, meaning and love in your life.
I’m originally from Montreal, Canada, but I’ve lived in London for many years. In my spare time, you can find me exercising my love of inline skating anywhere and everywhere I can!
