KARTHIGA.S completed her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with first class, from M.N.M JAIN Engineering College (affiliated to Anna University), Chennai, in 2012. She completed her Master’s degree in Structural Engineering with first class from National Institute of Technology Calicut, in 2014. 

She started her career as an Assistant Professor at SRM Institute of Science and Technology in 2014 and is continuing in this role to the present day. She has supervised 7 UG thesis projects and 13 PG thesis projects on diverse topics in Structural Engineering. She has completed PhD in Structural Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Her areas of research interest include Composite Structures; Fibre Reinforced Composites and Artificial Intelligence.  She has published 16 international journals which includes 3 SCI/WoS and 13 Scopus indexed journals. She has presented seven conference papers on diverse topics such as behaviour of composite slabs, steel structures and construction materials. She is a life member of the Indian Society of Technical Education and Indian Concrete Institute.
