Dr. Juniace Senecharles Etienne, a native of Miragôane, Haiti, migrated to the United States at the age of 16, bringing with her a deep belief in the transformative power of education. She currently serves as a French teacher with Collier Public Schools in Naples, Florida, and an adjunct professor at FWS. Her dedication to teaching has earned her numerous recognitions, including being nominated as a Teacher of Distinction in 2021 and as a candidate for the Most Valuable Teacher Award (MVT) and Teacher of the Year by the Florida Foreign Language Association (FFLA). Dr. Etienne works with students of all skill levels, including those with special needs and those who are academically gifted. Her passion lies in empowering students and stimulating their intellectual curiosity.
In addition to her teaching career, Dr. Etienne is an accomplished author of multilingual children’s books. Her recent book, "Un Voyage D’été," was listed as a top release in several categories, including Language, Linguistics & Writing in French. Most of her books are written in English, Spanish, French, and Haitian Creole, forming part of a multicultural early literacy series. These books explore themes such as friendship, identity, and familial love, with diverse characters whose varied backgrounds and family circumstances provide a foundation for meaningful connections.
Beyond her work as an educator and author, Dr. Etienne is also an international speaker and educational consultant. She aims to highlight the importance of accessible education to world leaders, emphasizing its role in shaping a stronger future for the next generation.
