Founder - Jellybean Television and VideoSkills Academy
Jim started his career as an Electronics Instructor at Missouri Technical School in St. Louis. After several years of teaching, he became more active with the administrative aspects of technical education. He eventually purchased the school. With his program development goals and guidance, the school became nationally accredited. After accreditation, the school was sold and at that time he pursued a career in television broadcasting.
His broadcasting career began at KPLR TV in St. Louis where he became the Engineering Supervisor. His responsibilities included the technical operations of the television station as well as video production and editing. His first experiences with video editing consisted of huge racks of electronic equipment and multiple video tape machines. These experiences have been carried forward and adapted to the modern, computer based, non linear editing processes which are used today. He has experienced many generations of video editing programs as well as the overall evolution of video production techniques.
He remains active in the Video Broadcast Industry as well as partnering with talented individuals in developing online training programs.
