Jenny Levina was born in Minsk, Belarus, and began her dance career at the age of four. She was trained in Ballet, Ballroom and Russian Folklore. From the time she was six years old, Jenny competed in International Latin and Standard styles of dance. Even from her first dance lesson, she showed excitement, grace and talent. Jenny moved to New York as a teenager. There, continued to pursue and diversify her artistic dreams.
Jenny’s Mentors in Dance
Passionate about Latin Jazz, Argentine Tango and Salsa, she trained with masters like Eddie Torres (Salsa on2), Maria Torres(Latin Jazz), and Daniela Arcuri and Armando Arzuza (Argentine Tango). She coached with Eugene Katsevman and Maria Manusova. Both of these Blackpool Amateur Latin Champions trained Jenny in International Latin and American Rhythm styles. She also worked extensively with Tatiana Logishev– a 12 times International Latin ballroom champion.
Accomplishments in Dance
Jenny became a finalist in various International Latin and American Rhythm competitions, and became a certified ballet instructor with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in the Vaganova method. Her other accomplishments include dancing as part of the Belarus National Performing Arts Theater, TV appearances on various TV shows, like Good Morning America. She’s also appeared in music videos for various artists, and an opening dance for a Don Omar show in NYC. These are just some of her numerous appearances in dance performance.
The Founder of Dance Flavor
Jenny founded Dance Flavor in 2010 with the goal to share her passion for dancing. Since then, Dance Flavor has provided ongoing private, group and online classes to students in New York, South Florida and all over the world.
In 2016, Jenny teamed up with Ramphis Kumar who shared her vision. Together, they challenge one another to improve their skills as they continue to share dance with the world.
