B Tech degree in civil engineering and M Tech with specialization in geotechnical engineering. Eighteen years of experience in the detailed design and engineering of structures for refineries, petrochemical facilities, fertilizer & power plants. Post industrial work experience, eight years in academics teaching various subjects as design of steel & concrete structures, structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, geotechnical engineering & mechanics of structures. Published technical papers in various journals & international conferences. Fields of interest include earthquake engineering and assessment of special industrial steel and concrete structures, blast resistant design, analysis of foundations for critical vibrating machinery, soil structure interaction, probabilistic seismic hazard analysis & risk assessment and engineering education. A fellow of the institution of engineers (FIE) India and member of Indian Geo-technical Society (MIGS).
