James R. Collins was born and raised on the outskirts of Washington DC, aptly named Fort Washington. After attending the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in IT, James later obtained a Master of Business Administration from William Woods University. As a Certified Credit Counselor (CCC), he developed the skills to ensure that clients were financially literate beyond the basics of budgeting and saving.
