Hey! I’m Ioannis — or John, as most people call me — a mathematician and data scientist with a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Data Science.

I’ve spent the last 18 years teaching mathematics and physics to students of different ages, backgrounds, and levels of experience. Over that time, I’ve developed a particular interest in finding clear, intuitive ways to explain ideas that can initially seem difficult or abstract.

My interests extend beyond mathematics and data science to logic, philosophy, epistemology, cognitive science, probability, and artificial intelligence — fields that are all connected, in different ways, by questions about how we reason, learn, and make sense of the world.

In my courses, I focus on clear explanations, practical examples, visual intuition, and genuine understanding rather than memorization. I want students not only to know how to use a formula or method, but also to understand why it works and how the ideas fit together.

I believe that almost any subject can become approachable when it is explained with patience, clarity, and the right examples — and that learning becomes much more enjoyable once things begin to make sense.
