I hold BSc and MPhil degrees in Physics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), specializing in scientific computation. Besides, I have a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree awarded by the University of Bristol, specializing in flipped classroom and active learning approaches.
I have been teaching statistics, data analysis and related subjects at university level since 2004. My students range from first year freshmen taking introductory statistics courses to final year students struggling to complete their graduation papers. Most of them are business and social sciences majors and so they do not normally have any technical background in statistics, data analysis, or SPSS. I am experienced in teaching data analysis to non-technical students.
As an educational researcher, I am also familiar with modern pedagogy and teaching practices. If you find this course different from the others, that is because I have based my course design on modern educational theories to help you learn in the most effective way.
Finally, you may follow my Twitter @phgod. I'm happy to chat anything related to teaching, research, and data analysis.
