Gabriela Andrea Cardona Cortes

I am a graduate of Modern Languages from ECCI University and a native Spanish speaker from Bogotá, Colombia. I am currently in the process of leveling up my English and my German and French elementary skills. So I do know what it is like facing learning a new language, a new way of grammar, new sounds, and certainly, a new way of perceiving reality.

I started my career as a freelancer in 2017, right after I got my degree, for a client from the United States, writing Spanish content for a textbook aimed to English-speaking teenagers.

There, I was able to observe my mother tongue from a whole new perspective: an external view. In effect, this was what encouraged me to immerse myself in this field, instruct in the theory behind the "ELE - Español como lengua extranjera" (Spanish as a foreign language), tutor online independently in 2019, and then work for a Spanish academy since 2021 until today, where I have 1 to 1 classes with students from India, Turkey, USA, Australia, Canada, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Latvia, among others.

However, it was since 2020 that I made the decision, on the basis of the knowledge and experience acquired, of finally designing my own course, this course.
