Like many of you, I am a self-taught artist and have learned through trial and error, persisting with patience and stubbornness. I believe that passion and practice can make up for a lack of talent. In fact, talent often stems from passion. Although I teach on Udemy, I do not consider myself a master but a student who still has a lot to learn. During my 'career' as a self-taught artist, I have tried my hand at different techniques: ink, pastel, gouache, tempera, airbrush, coloured pencils, oil painting, acrylics, watercolours, polymer clay, even 3D, raster and vector graphics. I have also written books, including the fantasy novel 'Todrol' and an illustration manual entitled 'Fantastic Realism'. Both are available on Amazon in Italian and English editions. As an artist, I do not have a well-defined style that makes me immediately recognisable. I prefer to adapt my style to the subject I want to portray. I also like to change my subjects every time because I see art as a path of self-knowledge, a kind of game in which it is nice to experiment. After all, it is more fun to paint a thousand pictures than to paint the same picture a thousand times... don't you think?
