I was a math whiz growing up, graduated from Virginia Tech with a Computer Science degree in 2014 (focus on classical AI), and worked at Microsoft and Oracle as a software engineer for 8 years afterwards.
In 2022 I got fed up with corporate life and left Oracle to found Ungambled. Ungambled is sports bet hedging software - you bet on opposite sides of a game so that you profit regardless of which team wins the game. Ungambled is my magnum opus as an engineer.
I've always been an avid reader, and I've been especially drawn to great thinkers and risk-takers who are obsessed with understanding reality. The most useful and life-changing (in a good way!) knowledge I've ever found is buried in books that are far too dense and abstract for most people to stomach reading.
The courses I create on Udemy are my attempts to simplify and communicate this knowledge as effectively as I can - as simply as possible, but not simpler, as Einstein said. My hope is that each course brings a wealth of useful knowledge to my students.
