About me
Dr. Uttama Mukherjee is a seasoned academician, a Chemistry professor, who holds a doctoral degree in Computational Chemistry. Post her Master's in Organic Chemistry, she was actively involved in the drug discovery and development industry, before delving full-time into her doctoral studies and research. Post Ph. D., she was working as a Chemistry Research Editor at one of the leading publication support company in Mumbai.
Currently, she is working as a Scientist in a Govt. - funded project at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) - Pune (India).

She has presented her research papers and posters at various conferences and symposia across the country including Hyderabad Central University (Hyderabad, 2011), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC-Mumbai, 2013), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU, New Delhi - 2023) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Madras - 2023, IIT-Guwahati - 2024).
She has taught Chemistry at various undergraduate and postgraduate colleges and institutes in India (Mumbai, Pune). She is passionate about teaching and has been doing so since her college days. She is admired by her peers for her unique ability to teach Chemistry in simple language. She now looks forward to reaching out further and helping students across the world achieve their learning objectives in Chemistry successfully.
