Dan Hawes is a writer, producer, academic researcher, and technology entrepreneur, who has spent his career exploring and pushing the boundaries of technology, creativity, and digital storytelling. He is currently an adjunct research professor at Carleton University School of Information Technology, where he teaches part time and researches how technologies like VR, AI, and other immersive experiences can improve learning mindsets and ultimately transform the learning experience. Dan has a Masters degree in Digital Experience Innovation from the University of Waterloo and PhD in Information Technology from Carleton University.
