Chuck Mitchell is a well-known management consultant and business owner who has over twenty-five years of experience helping organizations implement organizational excellence, as defined in the N.I.S.T Baldrige Excellence Framework. The Baldrige Framework is considered by the USA and most other countries as the top model to help organizations achieve their strategic goals and significantly improve their financial, market, customer, operations, and workforce results.

Chuck transformed the Baldrige Framework into standardized procedures complete with a set of continuous improvement tools needed by today’s organizations. The result of his work led to consulting and training engagements with hundreds of organizations and thousands of organization managers displayed on his web site.

In January 2004 Chuck released his newest system aimed at achieving Workforce Excellence. This program is the first of his new Applied Management Program objectives, designed to put organization managers straight to work, learning while implementing improvements leading to the results demanded by CEOs.

Chuck’s Workforce Excellence program benefits management consultants, HR Managers and other Organization Managers who want to become internal consulting champions in their organizations.

Before his consulting career, Chuck was a Program Manager in a DOD Programs at Hughes Aircraft (Fullerton, CA) and Interstate Electronics (Anaheim, CA). Chuck also served seven honorable years in the US Navy Submarine force, on a nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine.

            Chuck received two Military Bronze Coins for Leadership Excellence while consulting at the Arkansas National Guard and the US Army base in Okinawa. Chuck has strong project management expertise and was a first consultant to guide a major defense contractor (now part of Raytheon) to achieve Tri-Service Earned Value Project Management (EVMS) Validation in less than one year (a record that has never been broken).

Education Achievement: Master of Science in Systems Management, University of Southern California. His master’s thesis was developing an innovative approach to improving earned value project management.
