After spending more than 15 years raising millions of dollars for causes I deeply care about — from supporting domestic violence survivors and Girl Scouts to the American Cancer Society — I discovered something powerful: the organizations that raise the most money are the ones that build genuine, grateful, mission-centered relationships with their donors. That realization changed everything for me.

In 2019, I founded Alison Clare Philanthropy and launched The Fundraising Shop on Etsy to give nonprofit teams the practical tools and systems they need to succeed. Since then, I’ve helped several organizations build their development programs from almost nothing, consistently achieving over 150% year-over-year growth in fundraising revenue. I hold a degree in Nonprofit Development and the CFRE credential, and I’m also the author of The Guide on Donor Stewardship: The Secret to Raising Lots of Funds. My article “Introspective Practices: Your Money Mindset Matters” was published in Advancing Philanthropy, the flagship magazine of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
