Carly currently serves as the Director of Roots on the Roof, a student-led initiative managing the rooftop garden atop UBC's AMS Student Nest, providing a collaborative space for learning about food production and sustainability. Her work emphasises food sovereignty, community building, and skill sharing, aiming to redefine food systems through education and hands-on experience.  Additionally, she is active in her local councils, shaping policy to create more resilient, healthy food systems for all.
