I'm a qualified and highly experienced teaching professional. For me teaching has always been a vocation. I worked in primary education for more than 30 years and latterly spent nearly 10 years working with the Ministry of Education in Malaysia as a Teacher Trainer and mentor. I specialise in young learners and have always been deeply passionate about holistic teaching practices. 

From my experience I believe that young children have an instinctive passion for learning. They are curious about the world and eager to participate in a variety of ways. I've always believed that children learn from hands on activities that motivate and are fun. As such I always make my teaching as practical as possible.

Children learn in many different ways, and at different rates. It is therefore up to practitioners to provide a variety of learning experiences and cater for different learning styles and abilities.

I've retired from mainstream teaching but when offered the opportunity to work in Malaysia for the Ministry of Education, I couldn't resist - so off I went, not realising that it would be nearly 10 years before I returned to Europe.

Although not particularly tech-savvy, I was told about Udemy by a friend. I am so pleased to have yet another opportunity to continue sharing my experience, skills and knowledge and am certainly looking forward to working with my students.
