Dr. C. Arunkumar received his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from A.C. College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi (affiliated to Anna University) in 2011 and Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from NIT Trichy, in 2013.

He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, SRM IST, Kattankulathur since 2013. He has guided many UG and PG projects in steel and concrete structures. His area of research interest includes Steel structures and Earthquake engineering.

He has developed a mechanical model for end plate connection with fuse for earthquake force mitigation with proper knowledge gained in use of Eurocode 3 and MATLAB coding.

He is a life member of Indian Society of Technical Education, Indian Concrete Institute(ICI), Member of Institution of Engineers(MIE), Association of Consulting Civil Engineers(ACCI). He published his research in journals and in national and international conferences.
