Arlette Shohmelian is a trained psychologist with over 20 years of experience. She is a certified trainer, parenting and career coach, and a school well-being consultant. She has also served as a former deputy head of a private school in Cyprus.
In her career as a school well-being consultant, Arlette created emotional literacy programs. These programs became part of the curriculum in schools in Cyprus and abroad.
She has also led several well-being intervention projects like inter-school mental health awareness, life skills training, and workshops for parents, teachers, and students on a variety of topics.
As a mother of two daughters, she understands how challenging parenting and teaching can be. Through her work, she encourages parents to address the emotional influences in their child's environment.
Arlette launched her online course to help parents tackle the challenges inherent in parenting. Her course - "From Crazy to Calm” (The Parent Empowering Program for More Joyful Parenting) aims to empower parents to replace unhealthy coping mechanisms with more effective and constructive parenting styles.
Arlette has helped many schools set up and run their pastoral care programs. She continues to offer student well-being courses as a school development facilitator
