Over the past two decades, I have built a successful career at the intersection of law, technology, and public policy. I was a lawyer, until 2012, specialised in tech law, when tech law was at the beginning of it's time.
I am, also, the founder and CEO of avocatnet .ro, Romania’s leading online legal information platform, a project that has empowered individuals and businesses to navigate complex legal landscapes. Alongside this, I have contributed to impactful initiatives such as the coordination of the Code of Good Practice for Romania’s advertising industry, developed under the BRAT Romania umbrella, and served as a consultant for legislative projects.
In addition to my entrepreneurial efforts, I have had the privilege of serving for over a decade on the boards of associations representing the advertising and media industries in Romania. These roles provided me with valuable insights into the complexities of these sectors and strengthened my ability to contribute to industry-wide strategies and policies. Furthermore, as both a lawyer and the founder of avocatnet .ro, I participated in key discussions regarding the development of a national digital strategy for Romania, bringing my expertise to the forefront of debates that sought to align the country’s digital transformation with European standards.
Moreover, I have authored books aimed at demystifying European technology legislation for broader audiences, such as the AI Act: The future of our decisions and Digital Services Act: The future of our words. These works reflect my commitment to bridging the gap between complex regulatory frameworks and the general public, ensuring that the benefits and risks of technology are understood by all.
