Alex Rios is passionate about making learning stick.
Alex’s passion for learning stems from her time teaching high school chemistry and physics to an underserved student population in San Antonio. While she is proud of how much growth her students showed on state science exams, she is even prouder of how hard they worked to develop and pursue ambitious career goals after graduation.
After obtaining her doctorate in Physical Therapy, Alex transitioned from the classroom to healthcare. As a clinician, she helped her patients achieve rapid resolution of their injuries by employing adult learning strategies. After many years of working in outpatient ortho settings, she became the Director for Clinical Development and designed trainings for PTs, Chiropractors, and PT aides that significantly enhanced patient outcomes and experiences.
Alex holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and her doctorate degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions.
In her spare time, you can find Alex in the ceramics studio making pottery for her loved ones, baking cookies, or buying too many plants.
