Ahsan Abbas
Geography Teacher
About me
I am passionate about Geography as a subject, human or physical, I find ways to bring in the latest news and information in combination with a desire to learn new ways and techniques to teach the subject. I have been able to learn a wide range of techniques that have allowed me to become a teacher who can adjust to meet the needs of individual students whether on a 1-1 basis or in a classroom context. I am a friendly and enthusiastic person. Over the course of my teaching career, I have built excellent relationships with my students; that has helped them to become inspired, love their subject and achieve to their highest potential.
I graduated from King’s College London in 2005 with a degree in Geography and completed my PGCE at the Institute of Education, University of London. I have had a passion for Geography and went directly into teaching. I have taught in several schools including leading Geography Departments. I am also a Specialist Leader of Education, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, Chartered Geographer mentor and coach for Newly Qualified Teachers as well as trainee teachers. I have tutored KS3, GCSE & A-Level at various stages and have thoroughly enjoyed mentoring and tutoring. I look forward to working on your success soon!
