If you are not developing your skills your being left behind, when I started my career almost 20 years ago the process of applying for a job was pretty straightforward. Review the job description and tailor and submit your CV... fast forward several years and the impact of COVID, remote working, the gig economy and AI have made the process slightly more complicated.
The way your experience and skills are perceived has changed, and the way in which some organisations see people as resources and will require you to develop an understanding of how your skills add value to navigate effectively.
I have spent the last 2 decades navigating the world that is contracting within London's Financial Services sector, this required me to find my own jobs, sell and market myself to clients at interview and most importantly be able to hit the ground running.
What has this given me?
A wealth of experience in terms of what employers are looking for and their expectation, an understanding of the things you need understand to add value as an employee and the day-to-day challenges you will face performing your role and how best to navigate them.
I have used everything I have learned and implemented as part of a programme of learning to support you on your own personal journey of personal and career development.
I look forward to starting this journey of learning and personal development with you.
