Filo completed an Honours degree in Biological and Medical Sciences, followed by a PhD in Biochemistry, developing a strong foundation in both theoretical and experimental aspects of the life sciences. He has gained hands-on experience teaching biology at the university level, mentoring students and designing coursework that bridges complex scientific concepts with practical applications. In addition to his academic work, Filo co-hosts Neuro Podcases, a neuroscience podcast that ranks in the top 5% globally, where he explores cutting-edge research and translates it for a wider audience. He has also collaborated with organizations such as the NHS and the European Space Agency on public health initiatives, contributing his expertise to projects aimed at improving community well-being and advancing scientific outreach.
