Basic overview of the shapes we will be learning in order to create our game assets. These are the building blocks of all of your art. We also go over the relationship between shapes and light as it relates to game assets.
A more in depth view of how to create using only basic shapes and simple tricks that can make your work pop.

We start off with a 2D sketch and create the core mesh for our character using only a square.
Adding more details to our original mesh we complete our character and get it ready for finishing touches.
Character Finishing Touches
Here we will learn how to create some awesome looking floor and grass tiles using only the marquee tools and paint fill tool.
We take our bland background and really add more depth to it by adding background elements and props to the scenery.
Its the little things that matter, in this video we create some boxes and powerups for our character.
We use our square tools to create a user interface including portrait, health bar, scoreboard and life hearts.
