If you are a seasoned graphic artist or just a beginner this tutorial series teaches you how to use the beginner tools and concepts to create usable game assets. You will create characters for your game, backgrounds, props and user interfaces all without the aid of any expensive hardware. That's right, everything in this course is done with just a mouse and keyboard.
What we cover
First we go over some basic tools, shortcuts and shapes. From there I show you my process of making all of the previously mentioned assets. With these methods you can create anything you want in a matter of minutes!
By the end of the course you should have a grasp of finding shapes in every day objects and be able to convert them into props or characters for your games.
Once you have your props you learn to add lighting to them to give them depth and volume.
Then we finish everything off by adding color, style and filter effects to polish them for use.

Here we will learn how to create some awesome looking floor and grass tiles using only the marquee tools and paint fill tool.
We take our bland background and really add more depth to it by adding background elements and props to the scenery.
Its the little things that matter, in this video we create some boxes and powerups for our character.
