Wendy Stone has a PhD in Drama and Theatre Arts, with a specialisation in Drama-in-Education, specifically the use of drama strategies for outcomes-based education in the poetry classroom. She also has an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Higher Education Teaching Diploma, and a TEFL certificate. She is an experienced teacher of English at secondary school level and English Academic Literacy at tertiary level. She also has extensive experience as an academic writing consultant and has created and designed various academic writing courses aimed at postgraduate university students. Over the years, she has presented numerous academic writing workshops and consulted with thousands of under- and postgraduate university students seeking assistance with their academic writing. In addition, she has spent the last 18 years working as a writer, copy-editor and proofreader for various publishing houses, including Amsterdam University Press, and Future Entrepreneurs.
