Stephen Thornton

I hold a BA degree in Digital Arts and Sciences from the University of Florida and consider myself a lifelong learner.  I have worked as a freelance artist and illustrator for over 20 years creating caricatures, portraits, comic books, and character designs for clients of all ages.   

I'll say this upfront, I don't really believe in talent.  I believe in "cultivated aptitude".   No one should be made to feel they either have natural artistic "talent" or not.  We all have aptitudes, things we are naturally drawn to or interested in.  The difference between success and failure is the work put into cultivating that aptitude.  If you like to draw, paint, or are fascinated by animation, now's the time to dive in!  My classes give you the opportunity to cultivate your artistic side and refine basic skills that will help you embark on a lifelong journey of learning to bring your creative visions to life.

Since I could pick up a pencil I have loved to draw.  I've spent my life refining my skills and sharing my gift with the world.  I hope you will join me so we can have fun cultivating your passion for art together.
