I am a marine biologist (Ph.D.) with experience in science communication as well as a qualified high-school teacher for mathematics and natural science.
I completed my Ph.D. thesis at the University of Western Australia on coral ecology (Ningaloo Reef Australia) and my Diploma in Biology (equivalent to Masters) at the University of Rostock, Germany on Mangrove ecology in Indonesia. Furthermore, I worked and volunteered for a number of worldwide conservation and scientific projects e.g. the PR Departement of the Leibniz Institute for Zoo- and Wildlife Research (Germany), WWF (Germany), Proyecto Delphino (NGO in Chile), Associacao Promuriqui (NGO in Brasil) in cooperation with University of Cambridge, Seahorse Research Group (NGO in South Africa) in cooperation with WWF, Medicinal Plant Project of the Max-Planck-Institute (Democratic Republic of Congo).
I finished my teaching certificate (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) at the University of the West England and worked in schools in the UK, Norway and Germany.
I am very enthusiastic about the protection of the environment and love to share my passion for nature and its protection with others.
