Hello!  My name is Jeffrey Van Orsow and I am a lifelong aviation enthusiast and the owner of Alternate Route, LLC. Through my personal knowledge, experience, and expertise in the Air Reserve Component hiring process, Alternate Route was created to help others achieve their dreams of becoming a military pilot. Throughout my aviation career, I have flown a multitude of airframes and logged hundreds of hours in the sky. My unique personal experience with the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve provides him with a keen ability to assist others following the same Alternate Route to a career in military aviation.

I live in Meridian, Idaho with my wife and two daughters. As a former Division I football player, I am familiar with turning challenges into opportunities, and channel lessons from my own obstacles into assisting others. I began Alternate Route, LLC and wrote a book, in addition to creating this course, to mentor other future military pilots through the process, start-to-finish. When not in the cockpit, I enjoy just about any hobby that takes me outside and I enjoy every available opportunity to spend time with my family.
