Dr. Janaka is an associate professor at a Malaysian university. He serves the academic world as research supervisors for both master and doctoral research studies, and the industrial world as a management consultant. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Science Malaysia, MBA from the University of Bath, UK, and Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Technology Malaysia. Janaka has worked in Intel as engineer and manager for the first ten years of his career. He has over five years of working experience in the consulting industry prior to joining the academic industry. He teaches various management related subjects, including organization structure and design, social marketing, social media marketing, enterprise resource planning system, entrepreneurship, business research methods, operations management, project management, customer relationship management, and marketing management. His research interests include the role of language in research methodology, consumer marketing, and multinational control mechanisms. He is also a member of several thesis review panels for master and doctoral research defense.
