Dr.B.Jaiganesh is well-known in the field of Tamil studies, having published seven research books on Tamil grammar, edition, dictionary, and Commentaries. Apart from that, as an editor, he has published five books that are significantly vital for Tamil studies researchers.

His book 'History of Tamil Prosody Commentaries' (Tamiḻ yāppilakkaṇa urai varalāṟu) has been acclaimed by many scholars as the best book in this field. In 2015 Dr Jaiganesh was awarded the “Young Scholar Award” by the then President of India Pranab Mukherjee with an honorary amount of one lakh for the book.

Along with this distinguished award, he has received numerous accolades for his research, including the Neyveli Book Fair Award, the Tamil Peraya Young Scholar Award, the Rotary Society Award, the Kural Peedam Award, and the Achievement Award from Mr. M.K.Stalin.

Many of his research papers have been published in high-quality Tamil journals. He serves on the editorial boards of Vallamai, Shanlax International journal of Tamil Research, Journal of Tamil Culture and Literature.
