Itay Kashti is a London‑based music producer, composer, and mixer, and the owner of Blue Room Studios in Kilburn, London. Since 2008, he has been helping artists turn rough ideas into release‑ready records, working across indie pop, rock, folk, lo‑fi and corporate projects.
After moving to London in 2007, Itay cut his teeth on Berwick Street, Denmark Street and mamy more, freelancing in some of the city’s most iconic studios before opening Blue Room Studios in 2016. Over nearly two decades in the studio, he has recorded and produced a wide range of artists and clients, from emerging singer‑songwriters to well‑known names and brands, including work connected with Airbnb, Ninja Tune, Acid Jazz Records, the NHS, and more.
Itay’s approach is practical and musician‑friendly: he focuses on performance, arrangement and sound choices first, then uses recording and mixing techniques to enhance what’s already there. His studio is built around real instruments—acoustic and electric guitars, drums, upright piano, analog synths—and a modern, efficient workflow in Logic Pro with top plugins and other high‑end tools.
As an educator, Itay specialises in breaking down recording and production into clear, repeatable steps that home producers and independent artists can actually use. His teaching is based on real sessions, real problems, and solutions that work even in small, untreated rooms.
On Udemy, Itay shares the methods he uses every day at Blue Room Studios to help artists get from demo to record—without needing a huge budget or a commercial facility.
