My name is Irum Butt. I will be your instructor for this course, and since we will be spending 30 minutes together, I thought it would be nice for us to get to know each other.

I am from the capital city of Pakistan and hold an M.Phil. degree in English Linguistics. I am also certified CELTA teacher, having taught elementary and secondary students. For twenty years, I worked as a full-time teacher in two institutions.

Now, I am pursuing my own dreams as a freelancer. The best part of this journey is that each morning, I wake up with a new goal that I set the night before. Each day, I write my own tale, continuously learning and improving myself. With a passion for life-long learning, I create relevant content for my YouTube channel titled as ‘English with Ms. Irum’, and develop useful resources for IGCSE and A level students using various platforms. Through my YouTube channel, I engage with a diverse audience from around the world for online tutoring, and it is fun to teach such a versatile group; in fact, I learn from different cultures in the process.

However, teaching isn't the only thing I do. I also love photography and have a deep appreciation for nature. I am fascinated by everything created by God and continue to explore His wonders.

I believe in the principles of sharing, adapting and improving. Therefore, if you notice any gaps in this course, please feel free to share your suggestions.
