About me
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersin Önem is lecturer and researcher in Leather Engineering Department. He is the Coordinator of International Relations and Erasmus+ of the Department. He has a Ph.D. degree in the field of Leather Engineering and been in Fraunhofer-Institute UMSICHT, Germany for his Ph.D. period. After Ph.D, he has also attended to European Union Project in Germany during 2016-2017 on supercritical fluid applications for leather industry as post-doctoral studies. He has participated in various national and international projects as coordinator and researcher. He teaches the “Fundamental Processes in Leather Production and Technologies”, “Innovative and Environmentally Friendly Processes”, “Alternative Fluid Systems in Leather Industry”, “Fluid Mechanics”, and “Career Planning” courses. His research activities and fields of interests are tanning technologies, ecological products, environmentally friendly processings, supercritical fluid applications and high pressure technologies.
