About me
Hi! I'm Dr. Mike Commini, known as Dr. See by my students. I hold a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Instructional Design for Online Learning from Capella University, a Masters of Science in Education Media Design and Technology from Full Sail University, and a diploma in Professional Photography from The New York Institute of Photography.
For nearly three decades I repaired medical equipment, having trained and developed my skills in the US Air Force, civilian biomedical companies, and medical x-ray device manufacturers. I have worked on everything in the biomedical industry from wheelchairs to MRI units. For a short period of time after receiving my honorable discharge, I was co-founder and co-owner of a software company where I taught computer courses for many of the software titles on the market today. I also taught electronics, computer networking, C++ programming and computer data communications for a national technical college - all skills I learned in the biomedical field. Sadly, I had to leave the field after suffering an on-the-job injury. That's when I decided to focus on my second love, teaching!
I am a published author of both non-fiction and fiction books. I am also an Approved Educator for Executive & Business Coaches and a curriculum advisor for the PetroSkills Alliance - a consortium of the world's leaders in oil, gas & energy.
I am retiring soon from the world's largest oil company where I serve as a C-Map advisor, teaching managers how to design and implement competency-based training and development programs for their employees. I currently live in the Middle East with my dog, Diamond.
