About me
I’m the author of The Final 8th: Enlist Your Inner Selves to Accomplish Your Goals, a creativity coach, psychotherapist and former performer who has always been fascinated by how we lead with different parts of ourselves. The unspoken dynamics between people in life and art has fueled my career path of discovering the multiple intelligences we hold the keys to. Astonishingly, people are often completely unaware of this, despite how deeply it influences whether or not we succeed or self-sabotage. With an affinity for movement, an uncanny ability to express unspoken words, turning things upside down and calling out micro and macro injustices, I produced, wrote, and starred in one of the first web series, MUDDERS, the first cyber sit.comedy, in addition to emerging as an entertainment journalist writing features and articles for Comic Bible, Broadway(.com), SHOW BUSINESS, and was the daily correspondent and festival line-producer for 1010 Radio and Hollywood(.com) at the Cannes Film Festival (2000 & 2002).
I did stand-up at places like Caroline’s and Gotham Comedy Club in NYC, but inside I was struggling. This led me on a hunt for tools that could help me with issues ranging from shame to creativity blocks. I was incredibly lucky to stumble upon Voice Dialogue, a powerful, direct-action tool that’s internationally recognized for its capacity to generate change. As my interest shifted to the healing powers of expressive modalities, the Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone, creators of Voice Dialogue, became my mentors and I earned a clinical graduate degree from Columbia University and founded the New York Voice Dialogue Institute as a Master Facilitator and Trainer, offering professional training approved for Continuing Education Credits.
I’ve taught in numerous settings including Omega Institute, International Coach Federation – NYC Chapter, NY Open Center, Expressive Therapies Summit, NYU Behavioral Health Center, Cūra Blu Costa Rica and many more. My work has been featured in over 70 podcasts and quoted in Yahoo! Life, Mashable, AskMen, Real Simple + US News, Popsugar, Huffpost, Bustle, AskMen and more.
At the heart of my commitment to the life-changing techniques I teach and practice is my devotion to accessible overall wellness, which inspired me to offer this free course. I love helping people realize they are so much more than they ever dreamt possible and reach their potential.
