Bipolar Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation representing everyone affected by bipolar disorder, including people with the condition, carers, friends and professionals who help them all. Our organisation was founded in 2014 with the intention of becoming the national peak non-government organisation for bipolar disorder.
Over the past few years, Bipolar Australia has worked with our partners and supporters to deliver new resources which are being used across Australia to help people with bipolar, including booklets, support groups, and our signature “Blow Bubbles for Bipolar” initiative, which takes place every World Bipolar Day. We have also developed a fully costed Recovery Model of Care, which aims to decrease the severity of the condition for thousands of Australians, and save over $1 billion in taxpayer expenditure
