I’m a Dutch Pelvic Physiotherapist and since September 2024 I live in Madrid, Spain.
I am experienced physiotherapist with over 27 years of postgraduate experience across three continents and five countries. My passion lies in pelvic health, where I have grown my expertise and my skills in addressing pelvic and pelvic floor issues.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from Leiden University in 1997, and in 2019, I earned a Master’s in Pelvic Physiotherapy from Avans University in the Netherlands.
I started my career in the Netherlands but I had the opportunity to go and work in Singapore. Since then I have lived in the United Kingdom, the U.S., India, back to the Netherlands for a few years and currently just moved to Madrid, Spain. Living in so many different countries, experiencing different cultures has given me an open mind, a compassion for people and empathy for another perspective and emotions.
Throughout my professional career, I have delivered compassionate, evidence-based care in diverse settings, developing a deep understanding of pelvic health challenges and interventions.
My colleagues and patients recognize my empathetic communication, active listening, and collaborative approach.
Currently, I am working on becoming fluent in Spanish.
