Andre teaches philosophy and politics in Melbourne, Australia. His research interests lie at the intersection of ethics and cultural practices.

Andre was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2005 he moved to New York and worked in pharmaceutical advertising until 2013, when he returned to Australia to study philosophy. His PhD thesis is on Nietzsche's positive ethics and ancient Greek practices of competition and tragic drama.
