At the end of the 1980s Alexander Kolesnikov was working as a researcher in a military research centre near Moscow, Russia. His military career was on the rise, but in 1990 he surprised — even shocked — many people by leaving the army and becoming a full time student of astrology and numerology. In only a few years he was teaching astrology classes, writing articles and traveling to different cities to lecture on astrology.
Alexander's first astrology book (in Russian) was published in 1997. The second book, 'Teach Yourself Astrology, With or Without a Computer', appeared in 2001, and then in 2003 his first numerology book was published, 'Teach Yourself Numerology' — both were in Russian.
In January 2005, Alexander moved to the UK to study for a Master of Science degree at Glasgow Caledonian University. Since then, he has been working as a software developer, but he also continues studying numerology and astrology and writing about them. He is also working on his numerous websites and mobile apps and studying for an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
Alex lives in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, UK, with his wife Olga. He enjoys her piano playing and she also grows flowers in their garden; they both love the sea.
