At the end of this course, you will have a beautiful, final masterpiece "Northern Lights" to be proud of! Happy Painting
Bev will welcome you joining her class! Northern Lights has been chosen for our painting because of its vibrant and moving sky!
Bev will explain what she will be using to paint the 'Northern Lights'. A PDF will be included in this lecture so that students can acquire the supplies needed.
In Lecture 3, we will splatter Masking fluid or Frisket on the top of our sky to create stars. When this dries, then we paint our vibrant Northern lights sky! In Lecture 4 there is a print out of all these instructions including the transfer sheet.
Bev will demonstrate how to paint evergreen trees with a round and a flat brush. Print off the workshop guide and you can use the transfer image for your painting or have some fun with your imagination!
After practicing painting our evergreen trees, we are now ready to paint them on our painting!
Bev summaries the techniques used in the course such as masking, creating a vibrant sky with wet on wet techniques and painting evergreens. This module reviews some techniques that we taught in module one 'Trees in watercolour'. Bev welcomes messages and would enjoy seeing your paintings from your own interpretation of the 'Northern Lights'!
Four quick questions about tips shared during this course
Proud member of the Southampton Art Gallery and School in Canada since 2011. I have enjoyed my two passions 'travel and watercolours' by teaching on art conventions and on two cruise lines. I’ve learned to instill art appreciation to my students and promote creativity. I have proved the ability to maintain a highly motivated classroom and offer individualized support and provide encouragement to ensure that each student succeeds. I am mostly self taught, but enjoy taking workshops with other artists to learn and continuing growing as an artist.
