Section 3: Equipment to get you Ripped

Knowing and having the right tools to get the job done are key for having fitness success. In this tutorial, I preview some equipment that I recommend for fast, effective, high intensity workouts.


The exercise bands are a great way to exhaust and sculpt your shoulders and biceps. Give them a try and you'll come back for more.


If there is one piece of equipment that stands above the rest, it's the BOSU ball. In this New Years workout, the theme was short but intense. We "jump" into a heart-pumping, leg blasting, upper and lower body workout, all while ONLY using the BOSU ball.

Section 4: Punching Bag Workout Session

We examine the question-why boxers have the best workouts? We then take this knowlege and apply it to our workout sessions. It's going to be awesome.

In this session we target those troublesome abdominals. My assistant/client Candy performs several ab blasting exercises that will get you slim and trim.

Section 7: Making Cardio Fun: Taking the Running out of Cardio

Instructor Biography

Darnell Nathaniel, Take Ever Opportunity By the Horns

My name is Darnell Nathaniel, and I have worked in the fields of education and banking for roughly 20 years. I had humble beginnings as I took a job right after graduating high school cleaning apartments at an apartment complex. After doing that job for three years, I decided that I had had enough and I enrolled in night courses at my local college. Long-story short, I took courses in business and history because I had an interest in both areas. About a year later, I was hired at a large retail banking corporation and I stayed employed with them during my undergraduate studies and after I had graduated. I earned a Bachelors of Arts in History, while minoring in business.

I have always been motivated by teachers and public speakers and I wanted to help young adults, so I enrolled and took a masters degree in teaching. This afforded me the opportunity of working in my local school district as a teacher. While teaching, I worked nights and weekends part-time as a financial manager at an investment firm.

Always looking to further my development, I chose to return to college and take another master's degree. This time in Information Technology with a concentration in information management and portfolio building.

My professional and personal lives are greatly intertwined because I am a hard-working individual, who loves his family.

Currently, I am working on a few projects but they all revolve around the realm of fitness. I teach fitness classes in person in Baltimore, Maryland, and I conduct strength and conditioning sessions with the varsity and junior varsity athletes at Chesapeake High School in Baltimore, Maryland.
