I spent five years in finance before moving to work at a tech startup based in NYC. The recruiting process in tech is very different, and this presentation shares everything I wish I'd known when I was making the move, including:
How to think about what I was looking for
How to approach startups
Whether or not I should be active on social media
The course is set of 5 video lectures that will take about an hour to complete, plus supplementary reading materials.
I'm hoping to continue adding to the course over time so if you have questions that aren't addressed please let me know and I'll add video responses to them.
By the end of the class you should have a clear sense of your next steps in making the move from finance to tech.
